Specialists from the Emerging Risks team at leading global reinsurance firm, Swiss Re, are warning the insurance industry that “unforeseen consequences of electromagnetic fields” could lead to a raft of claims and significant product liability losses in the next 10 years.
In its Swiss Re SONAR Emerging Risks report, 2013, which covers risks that could “impact the insurance industry in the future”, the company categorises the impact of health claims related to electromagnetic fields (EMFs) as ‘high’. It acknowledges recent reports of courts ruling in favour of claimants who have experienced health damage from mobile phones, and also says that anxiety over risks related to EMFs is “on the rise”.
“Studies are difficult to conduct, since time trend studies are inconsistent due to the still rather recent proliferation of wireless technology”, the Risk team writes. “The WHO has classified extremely low-frequency magnetic fields and radiofrequency electronagnetic fields [including those emitted by Smart Meters – Ed.] as potentially carcinogenic to humans (Class 2B carcinogen).”
The document states that whilst the majority of the topics covered in its pages were of “medium impact”, health issues associated with EMFs sit in the highest impact category. Other topics discussed include the dangers of cyber attacks, power blackouts, workplace safety and Big Data – all of which are exacerbated and/or added to by the UK’s ill-conceived Smart Metering programme.
Swiss Re, the reinsurance firm behind the report, defines Emerging Risks as “newly developing or changing risks that are difficult to quantify and could have a major impact on society and insurance industry”. By placing EMFs in the “High” potential impact-zone, it is suggesting that there may be potentially “high financial, reputational and/or regulatory impacts or significant stakeholder concern” in the next 10 years or more.
“If a direct link between EMF and human health problems were established, it would open doors for new claims and could ultimately lead to large losses under product liability covers. Liability rates would like rise.”

‘POTENTIALLY CARCINOGENIC?!! The evidence NO! THE PROOF!has been obvious since at least 2002! In autumn 2002 -less than a year after I found out that people were suffering appalling symptoms near the new phone mast in our village – I found Dr. Neil Cherry’s paper(EMR Reduces Melatonin in Animals and People)about the results of epidemiological tests in Switzerland (which resulted in the dismantling of the important transmitter which was causing health problems in Schwarzenberg!
The information made it immediately clear to me what was causing insomnia and headaches; earache and tinnitus; sore, itching, bloodshot *eyes; ulcerated *mouths and throats; nausea and *dizziness; raised blood-pressure, strokes and heart attacks -etc. One man had a stroke- in association with both activations of the mast -2nd after it was off for a month (no symptoms then!)
THE MECHANISM OF EFFECTS!
PINEAL GLAND -has several purposes cannot act in association with EMISSIONS FROM TELECOMMUNICATIONS’ RADIATION – the NON-thermal aspect of pulse-modulated MICROWAVES!
1)The first effect is INSOMNIA, because melatonin should take over from seratonin at night – if it is not there – insomnia is the result because seratonin keeps us awake!
2)MELATONIN should trigger T-cells to kill off mutated cells! I knew immediately why cancer was highly likely in anyone exposed to the emissions. AND later- I realised how dangerous it was to hold a mobile phone to one’s head! I now know why there is an increase in facial, ear, mouth and brain cancers!
3) Should kill off free radicals – which cause premature aging if not killed off.
Dr. Cherry blamed the final health problems which caused his death on his frequent exposure to emissions during his investigations He died in the year I found his document -2002 – that was a dreadful loss!
I know Wi-Fi causes heart problems because I had a heart attack in my cousin’s house where Wi-Fi was permanently active! Also inCnadian schools with Wi-Fi – defibrillators are mandatory to treat children who have heart attacks! Wi-Fi should not be allowed anywhere near children! I have read that Wi-Max is even worse!
Smart Meters will be very dangerous – making many people very ill – and will also drastically raise the price of electricity – it did that in America, and people all over that country were demonstrating to have them removed! PLEASE REFUSE SMART METERS- THEY WILL BE A DISASTER!
